Wow, it has been a while since I posted here and I apologize! What have I been up to? Well, a little over a month ago I decided to devote my attention to the next novel in The Photographer's Story. It had been a while since I worked on it, taking time for Erin's Erotic Adventures and to write a few short scifi stories under another pen name. Anyway, I thought I would skim through the whole series before going back to the next novel. You know, a way to make sure it all flows well. Big mistake. I've always been critical of authors who do a major re-write on published work Now, I find I am eating my own words. Literally. :) I was just a few chapters into the first book when I found myself changing words and paragraphs. It started with correcting grammatical errors (my apologies for all those issues) then moved to a few story line twists. I found myself adding things that would help enhance the next novel as well as the one I am still writing. Sigh, by the end of that first day I realized I wanted to redo the whole thing. The story line would be the same but I really wanted to do a better job developing the characters.
Knowing I wanted to redo the book, and also wanting to protect the fans who purchased the original story, I was torn. After a few hours checking Kindle's guidelines I learned that if I resubmit the work with significant changes it will push out to previous buyers. Phew! Am I finished? NO, since I started this I want to be sure I do it right. I've done to reads over the manuscript making changes and corrections each time. I've also got a proofreader lined up to double check when I am ready to publish.
Stay tuned for updates. In the meantime, here is the new cover for - The Photographer's Story.
